Muffled Peal
On Saturday at the invitation of the Newton Longville church bell ringers, the St. Mary's Bletchley bellringers went over in order to ring on the Newton Longville bells half muffled as a token of respect to three men who have lost their lives at the front. Several touches of Grandsires, Stedman's and Bob Major were rung by the following ringers:- Messrs. G. Hopkins, R. Nicholls, E. Lathell, L. Meager, T. Best Junr., H. Sear, W. Sear, W. Pether, H. Taylor (Royal Engineers), W. Smith and E. Leonard.
