On Saturday at the invitation of the Newton Longville church bell ringers, the St. Mary's Bletchley bellringers went over in order to ring on the Newton Longville bells half muffled as a token of respect to three men who have lost their lives at the front. Several touches of Grandsires, Stedman's and Bob Major were rung by the following ringers:- Messrs. G. Hopkins, R. Nicholls, E. Lathell, L. Meager, T. Best Junr., H. Sear, W. Sear, W. Pether, H. Taylor (Royal Engineers), W. Smith and E. Leonard. |
